About Kehillah Connect ATL: Kehillah Connect ATL is a small, grassroots initiative focused on building warm, inclusive Jewish community for young professionals and young families across Intown Atlanta. Our programs range from casual Shabbat dinners and holiday pop-ups to volunteer projects, learning circles, and social events. Position Summary: We are seeking a Community Engagement & Events Coordinator to help plan, promote, and execute programs that bring people together, deepen Jewish connection, and strengthen the broader Atlanta Jewish ecosystem. This role is ideal for someone who loves building relationships, is highly organized, and is energized by both behind-the-scenes planning and being "on" at events. Key Responsibilities: - Plan and coordinate 3–5 monthly programs (social, educational, and service-oriented), from initial concept through post-event follow-up - Manage event logistics including space reservations, catering, vendor communication, and volunteer coordination - Create and schedule promotional content for email, social media, and community calendars - Serve as a primary point of contact for participants: greet attendees, facilitate connections, and help new folks feel welcome - Track attendance and engagement metrics and provide brief monthly reports - Collaborate with partner organizations and synagogues on occasional co-sponsored programs Qualifications: - 1–3 years of experience in event planning, community organizing, Jewish communal work, or related fields - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; able to manage multiple events and deadlines at once - Comfortable initiating conversations and helping others connect socially - Familiarity with Atlanta's Jewish community or a strong interest in learning the landscape - Proficiency with Google Workspace, social media platforms; bonus for Mailchimp/Canva/CRM experience - Comfort working some evenings and weekends, especially for Shabbat and holiday events Schedule: 20–25 hours per week on average (mix of daytime admin and evening/weekend events). Hybrid role.
